Spiritual Awakening Symptoms

So.... you've had a spiritual awakening and now you see the world in a totally different way. You have a deeper connection with your self and you might be having trouble fitting in.

Well, you will fit in here my friend. Welcome.

A spiritual awakening can manifest in a number of ways. It can be gentle and happen gradually over time. Where you may start processing life in differently or it can be quite intense.  Intense spiritual awakenings from my experience usually occur from drugs, trauma, or intense physical and mental work.

I've had numerous spiritual awakenings and a lot of them were from very intense. I  believe a spiritual awakening can be induced but I also believe they were always designed to happen and the situations or instances that "induced" them are just portals to that energy being expressed. It was always going to happen.

But I believe getting support and feeling safe during an awakening is a basic human right and I'd always encourage someone to seek help, whether it be a friend or a professional. If you don't have any friends you can confide in, please pay a friend, it's called a therapist and they are extremely helpful.

Spiritual awakenings can make you question who you are, what is life, your beliefs, your identity and the intentions of the world we live in, maybe even your own intentions.

Side effects can include heightened empathy, compassion, and increase in physical energy. Negative side effects can appear as headaches, fatigue, stress and I'd even go as far to say, mental health conditions, depression, anxiety and PTSD can all really manifest from strong energy activations, if you don't have the correct framework in your physical reality to support the energy that is coming through.

Your out look on life has most likely changed since or during this spiritual awakening and the hard part is, you can't go back. You have to embrace this new reality and learn how to live within it. This is your souls way of guiding you into the frequency of life it wants to experience.

My advice would honestly be, to someone struggling within a spiritual awakening. Embrace it. What ever feels uncomfortable probably needs to go. Thoughts, feelings, relationships, situations, locations. There is a reason why, they don't feel good. Sure, question it, think about it, but be honest, honestly is the only way to move forward here. Authenticity is key. That's probably the hardest thing about having a spiritual awakening. We have been so conditioned to hide ourselves. To hide our true thoughts and feelings and to create versions of ourselves to fit into the world. But once you start this journey you realise. That is a false reality. It's a gradual unlearning and letting go of all the things that actually keep our energy trapped. Our energy doesn't come from this physical realm, it comes from the non physical realm, the connection to our soul / higher self.

We've been born on earth in human form with DNA that's been encoded from 7 generations before us. Encoded, with the pain, the suffering and mental and physical coding that our ancestors needed to survive in the times they were alive. That coding isn't always relevant to us in this moment, in this life, in this body.

It's the filtering through of this information and us being able to chose what is serving us and what isn't.

We've also been born with genetic codes of love, care, respect, community, integrity and so on. We also have the ability to connect positively. To our selves and the world around us. We get to make the choices. Part of 'spiritually awakening' or becoming aware is choice. Choices come through understanding and taking time to reflect and take care of our internal worlds.

I wish you luck on your journey Angel. My inbox is always open if you need connection / love / support / help / guidance.
